Skeptical Inquirer is the official journal of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. It is a bimonthly publication that provides critical scientific evaluations of paranormal and fringe-science claims, as well as informed discussion on relevant issues.

According to Editor Kendrick Frazier, Skeptical Inquirer serves as a bridge between scientific fields, combining aspects of a semi-popular magazine and a scientific journal. It has been praised as a "spokesman for rationality," characterized as serious yet highly readable, witty and informative, and a steady buoy in the sea of irrationality. The journal boasts contributions from esteemed scholars and investigators such as Isaac Asimov, Martin Gardner, Carl Sagan, Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins, and many others.

In addition to in-depth feature articles, special reports, news and commentaries, book reviews, and investigations on a wide range of topics, Skeptical Inquirer also features regular columns from renowned writers. These include Joe Nickell's "Investigative Files," Massimo Polidoro's "Notes on a Strange World," Massimo Pigluicci's "Thinking About Science," Robert Sheaffer's "Psychic Vibrations," and reader-driven content by SI managing editor Benjamin Radford in "The Skeptical Inquiree."

This journal is available for free download as an app, with options to purchase both the current issue and back issues within the app. Subscriptions can also be obtained through the application, starting from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.

• The subscription will automatically renew unless canceled more than 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Renewal charges occur within 24 hours of the end of the current period at the current subscription rate.
• Auto-renewal of subscriptions can be turned off in the Account Settings, but canceling the current subscription during its active period is not possible.
• Payment is charged to the iTunes account at confirmation of purchase, and any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
• If a subscription includes a free trial, the full price of the subscription will be charged at the end of the trial period. To avoid being charged, subscriptions must be canceled 24 hours before the end of the subscription period.

Users have the option to register for or log in to a pocketmags account within the app. This protects their issues in case of device loss and allows browsing of purchases across multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.

We recommend launching the app for the first time in a Wi-Fi area to ensure all issue data is retrieved. If the app fails to load beyond the splash page after installation or update, please delete and reinstall it from the App Store.
